The museum is located next to the Military Arsenal and offers visitors a vast and clear display of naval vessels, war-time pieces and historical remains pertaining to naval history from the perspective of the Italian Navy.
Accurate historical reconstructions and the variety and quantity of pieces, documents and materials on display make the visit to this 3000-sq.m. museum enlightening and special.
Among the museum’s collection, it is worth noting: parts of the relic of the Scirè submarine; the radio belonging to the survivors of the tragic expedition of the dirigible Italia to the pole; and the experimental radio station used by the great Guglielmo Marconi in 1897 for his experiments on transmission.
