As a part of the annual Lamporecchio summer fair, there has to be an important place for the product which symbolises this town, for which Pistoia is famous and which makes people call this the ’Brigidino’ festival.This snack, made from eggs, sugar, anise seed, salt and flour, has an attractive golden colour, a slight curved form, and is irresistible. Originally, it was associated with the Carnival period but it has, by now, become popular throughout the year at local festivals, open-air markets and amusement parks.
During the festival, there is also music, games and various shows and the festivities take place along the main streets of the town, attracting visitors from near and far.
