Wine lands around the city of the Palio (historic horse races): everything here is meant for riding and tourism.
Many are the trails from which to choose from, with different destinations, lengths and interests. All start from Carmagnola, in the province of Turin, where the famous “Conte” of one of Manzoni’s tragedies, once lived.
Following the river Rio Valcarpigna, surrounded by marvellous centuries-old chestnut trees, you enter the area of Astignano, near the town of Marzano Oliveto. You may also visit the lands of Giovanni Bosco: the town of Castelnuovo Don Bosco, where this unknown farmer decided to become a priest and help the young kids with problems of his time.
