TYPICAL HOME IN SAMPIERI -SICILY

This period fisherman's house has been totally renovated by the owners,  Lady Fernanda Paternò Castello di Carcaci of the Marquis of Antella and her daughter Eleonora Majorana, design student at Elisava, University of Barcelona.
The landlady, painter from Catania lover of the area, has carried out the restoration with the features vintage and using  Sicilian terracotta floor tiles, the ancient Caltagirone ceramics and white Comiso stone.
The house is situated in the historical centre of Sampieri, 25 meters from the sea; the coast includes rocky coastline and two kilometers long sandy beach with dunes  giving the impression of being in Africa. There are several well-equipped factories, but also the possibility of beach free. Everyday at the harbour, the boats arrive with freshly caught fish.

Two self catering apartments ("Casa del pescatore" and "Casa di pietra") that can be connected through the stairs. Premier grading (four stars). Linen and all services included.

"Casa del pescatore" (5 beds): the main entrance from the street leads directly into the lounge area which has been furnished with a triple sofa bed, a table and chairs and has been equipped with a ceiling fan and an air-conditioning unit. The kitchen area has been fitted with an oven and hob, a microwave, double sink unit, fridge-freezer, washing machine , iron and various storage cupboards.The main bathroom is accessed from the lounge and has been equipped with a shower, sink, bidet, toilet, hairdryer. The bedroom, which is also reached from the lounge, has been furnished with a double bed and a wardrobe, a safety deposit box and has also been equipped with a television. This room also includes a ceiling fan and a window overlooking the street. The ensuite bathroom has been tastefully tiled and fitted with a shower, stone sink, bidet and toilet.The weekly price, based on 2 guests sharing the apartment is from Euro 515 (off peak: from october to may) to Euro 750  (peak: august). A supplement of Euro 50 per person, per week is applicable for each additional guest (up to 5). No cost for children under 3 years. Cots available on request.

"Casa di pietra" (4 beds): the main entrance from the street leads into a small communal hall area. From the hall stone steps provide access to the first floor. The front door to the apartment leads directly into the loung area which has been furnished with a double sofa bed, a table and chairs and also offers a television, ceiling fan and air-conditioning unit. The kitchen area has been fitted witn an oven and hob, a sink unit, fridge-freezer, a microwave, iron and various storage cupboards. A door from the kitchen leads out to a small terrace. The bathroom has partly exposed stone walls and has been equipped with a shower, sink, bidet, toilet, hairdryer and a washing machine. The bedroom which is accessed from the lounge has been furnished with bunks beds and a small chest of drawers. This room offers a safety deposit box, a sky-light and a ceiling fan. The weekly price, based on 2 guests sharing the apartment is from Euro 460 (off peak:from october to may) to Euro 670  (peak:august). A supplement of Euro 50 per person, per week is applicable for each additional guest (up to 4). No cost for children under 3 years. Cots avalaible on request. 

A short distance from the house, supermarket, bakery, pharmacy, barber, hairdresser, restaurants, pizzerias, bars,  discotheques, etc.
Just a few kilometers from Sampieri you can visit the Baroque towns of Modica, Scicli, Ragusa Ibla, Ispica, Noto which are a group form part of UNESCO World Heritage Site. More distant, but reachable during the day, Syracuse, Catania, Taormina, Agrigento, Piazza Armerina, Mount Etna, Isle of Malta.

Recommended vacation to those who want peace in a particular area reamined almost unchanged, holding onto its rich fishing village characteristics.
