Fattoria Poneta offers the pleasure of rediscovering the genuine atmosphere of country life. The farm is, in fact, a faithful restructuring of the old country village of Poneta, a grouping of farmhouses, stables, haylofts and granaries which today have been completely restored.

Vineyards and olive groves have always been cultivated here and mixed together with the abundant Chianti hills which surround the village, the setting is extraordinary. Outstanding and exclusive Chianti wine and extra virgin olive oil are produced at the farm.

The old wine cellar, completely carved from the “tufo” stone, and a small museum of farm culture, set up in an old stable, permit our guests to get a feel for the rural reality of the area.
Poneta is a place from the past, where tranquillity and serenity triumph over the chaos and stress of the city: wholesome familiarity with nature, a safe environment for children’s play, relaxation in the form of walks in the woods or a swim in the pool.

However, from this idyllic setting it is easy to reach nearby towns, such as Barberino, in order to buy groceries or other necessities. Likewise, it is no problem to reach the most interesting Tuscan cities of art and sights of interest: the castle of Monteriggioni, the medieval towers of San Gimignano, the Etruscan town of Volterra, as well as Siena, and others.
