WITH CAR:

1. FROM ROME CITY From Rome take Motorway A1 as far as exit VAL DI CHIANA. Drive towards Siena until) you meet a blinking streetlight, just in the vicinity of Siena. About half a km thereafter turn to the right, direction Grosseto Immediately after the second of two tunnels take to the right, direction Siena-Firenze. Exit at SIENA OVEST, taking to the right, direction Massa Marittima-Monticiano. At Costalpino (after passing the Costafabbri village) continue straight for about 1 km until you see a church on the right and a big building on the left. About 100 meters thereafter take to the right at a junction marked Certano (there are two roads branching from that junction – you must take the one on the left). The Certano villa is on the top of the hill after a tree lined driveway. 2. FROM ROME AIRPORT (FIUMICINO) Exit fiumicino airport and take the exit towards the Rome - Civitavecchia motorway. At the end of the motorway continue on the Aurelia highway as far as Grosseto. Leave the Aurelia at the exit marked ”SIENA” and continue until you reach a junction marked “San Rocco” (on the left). Drive as far as Costalpino, and then turn to the left, direction Massa Marittima – Monticiano. From there follow same instructions as under para #1. 3. FROM FLORENCE AIRPORT (PERETOLA) Drive towards the A1 motorway. At FIRENZE NORD enter the motorway direction Rome. Exit at FIRENZE CERTOSA, take the Firenze – Siena superhighway and exit at SIENA OVEST, taking to the left, direction Massa Marittima – Monticiano. From there follow same instructions as under para #1 4. FROM FLORENCE RAILWAY STATION Drive along the flank of the station and continue until you reach the Fortezza da Basso. Turn right around the Fortezza, pass under a railway bridge and continue until you reach a bridge on the Arno River (Ponte della Vittoria). After the bridge enter the second street to the right (the first is along the Arno) until you see the sign SIENA to the left. Drive until you reach Porta Romana and take the first road to the right. After passing the Galluzzo village you will reach the superhighway for Siena. From there the directions are as under #3. Alternatively (it is longer but perhaps simpler) from the railway station follow the signs leading to the A1 motorway, enter it at FIRENZE NORD direction Rome, and from there follow same directions as under #3. 5. FROM THE NORTH OF ITALY (PO VALLEY) Wherever you are, reach the A1 motorway and exit it at FIRENZE CERTOSA. From there follow same instructions as under #3. 6. FROM THE FRENCH OR ITALIAN RIVIERA Drive along the Ventimiglia – Livorno motorway as far as the PISA MIGLIARINO exit. Take the Firenze – Mare motorway and enter the A1 motorway at FIRENZE NORD. From there, same directions as under #3 7. FROM THE PISA AIRPORT Take the Pisa – Firenze superhighway (starts just from the airport), exit at LA GINESTRA and take the secondary road to San Casciano. At San Casciano take the Cassia highway direction Siena, until you reach the entrance to the Firenze – Siena superhighway. From there, same directions as under #3
